The sea at Lu Impostu

Lu Impostu is located in the Capo Coda Cavallo area, within the municipality of San Teodoro. This beautiful beach is made up of soft, light-coloured sand that glitters in the sunlight, with a few smooth rocks emerging from the crystal-clear water. Its most distinctive feature is the shallow, gently sloping seabed, where the colours shift beautifully from pale turquoise to deep blue, just like at the nearby Cala Brandinchi.

Behind the beach, you’ll find dunes covered with juniper bushes, sea lilies, and thistles, as well as a lagoon that connects to the sea. It’s the largest in the area after the one in San Teodoro and a wonderful spot for nature lovers.
Lu Impostu offers a good range of facilities, including ample parking, bars, and snack points, making it perfect for a relaxing day by the sea.

The photos below show some glimpses of this enchanting beach, but if you have time, we also recommend exploring the rocky coastline near Punta Aldia — from there, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the island of Tavolara.
